Pear Wood - Standard Pen Blank
Wood from the Common Pear fruit tree (Pyrus communis) is a pale pink with a subtle, close straight grain and a smooth texture. With age, the colour will darken to a rich mid brown.
Pear is moderately dense and is easy to turn. It can be polished to a very high sheen.

Each blank is approximately 19 x 19 x 145mm (0.75 x 0.75 x 5.75").
The ends of the blanks are dipped in grain seal to reduce the chance of damage while in storage.
