Padauk - Knife Scales
Standard size Knife Scales cut from Padauk
African Padauk (Pterocarpus soyauxii) is from the Cameroon in Central Africa. The wood is a vivid terracotta-orange colour that will deepen to a deep, rich red brown with age.
Padauk is a heavy, dense wood which has a medium textured, open grain and can be polished to a bright sheen.
PRODUCT INFO
The price qouted is for one pair of matched scales.
Each scale is approximately 130 x 40 x 10mm (5.1 x 1.55 x 0.4"). The scales are planed on the two main faces.
A single 130mm length of timber is cut along a centre line to match the grain as closely as possible.
