Ovangkol - Dip-Pen Blank
Ovangkol (Guibourtia ehie) is an exotic wood from East Africa that has a deep orange-brown colour with darker graining which looks almost antique when turned and polished.
The wood turns well but has a moderate blunting effect on tools. The interlocked grain comes out very well when used on fatter 'Cigar' style pens.
PRODUCT INFO
The price qouted is for a single pen blank.
Each blank is approximately 19 x 19 x 200mm (0.75 x 0.75 x 8"), ideally suited to dip ink pens.
The ends of the blanks are dipped in grain seal to reduce the chance of damage while in storage.
