Olivewood - Standard Pen Blank
Tunisian Olivewood (Olea europea) has a nice balance of figure and strength. It is a pale brown wood with an attractive dark brown wavy pattern.
The timber is very close grained, with a dense, even texture. It polishes to an excellent sheen and accepts all types of finish. Some care is needed when preparing the finish as Olivewood may have voids or week areas inside the wood.

Each blank is approximately 19 x 19 x 145mm (0.75 x 0.75 x 5.75").
The ends of the blanks are dipped in grain seal to reduce the chance of damage while in storage.
