Limba Standard pen blank, with turned limba spindle

Limba - Standard Pen Blank

A wood blank for pen turning cut from Limba (Terminalia superbia), Also Known as Afara, Korina and Ofram, from West Africa.
Limba is a straw coloured timber with a coarse texture and close, straight grain. The pores in the wood are a darker colour which give the finished wood an unusual light / dark appearance. The wood is easy to turn and finishes well.

The price qouted is for a single pen blank.

    Each blank is approximately 19 x 19 x 145mm (0.75 x 0.75 x 5.75").

The ends of the blanks are dipped in grain seal to reduce the chance of damage while in storage.
