English Walnut - Standard Pen Blank
A wood blank for pen turning cut from English Walnut (Juglans regia).
English walnut is known for its attractive brown colour with dark brown streaks and coarse texture. It turns carves and sands well and can be finished to a high shine. It is advised to use UV inhibiting finishes (e.g., those with a melamine base) to prevent the colour fading.

Each blank is approximately 19 x 19 x 145mm (0.75 x 0.75 x 5.75").
The ends of the blanks are dipped in grain seal to reduce the chance of damage while in storage.
